About Personal licence course
Joseph Ellul (5 Dolce Vita Corte, Triq San Mikiel, San Gwann, SGN 2303, Malta). We run this site and pass each enquiry to workplace safety training providers covering the enquirer's area.
Why this site exists
We read 34 providers' own pages on 28 October 2026 and only 10 of them print a figure, so the only way to see the spread is to read all of them and show the working. That is what this site is: one table, every source named, dated.
Who it is for
Anyone about to buy this service who wants to know what it costs before they ask, and who would rather see the published prices than a range somebody made up.
What is on this site
One question, "personal licence course", answered with a quote form that works on the page with no account, 5 guides on the questions around it, a data table you can cite (the figures and their method), and the sources every figure rests on.
- Personal Licence Course Price Index: every published figure: Every provider we read that publishes a figure for personal licence course, what it publishes, and the day we read it. 10 of 34 read.
- Who publishes a price, and who makes you ask: 10 of 34 providers read for personal licence course publish a figure. These are the ones that do not.
- Personal licence course cost: what UK providers publish: Personal licence course cost in the UK: a median of £130 across ten providers' own prices, £99.99 to £155, plus the £37 council fee and the £20 DBS check.
- APLH course: the Award for Personal Licence Holders explained: The APLH course is the qualification a council asks for before it grants a personal licence: what it covers, how it is taught and what it costs.
- Personal licence: how to get one, from the course to the council: How to get a personal licence to sell alcohol: the qualification, the basic DBS check, the £37 council fee in England and Wales and £50 in Scotland.
What it does not do
- No ranking, no best-of list and no scores: the table is sorted by the figure, not by us.
- No paid placement, no affiliate links and no sponsored rows.
- No invented figure: a provider that publishes nothing is listed as publishing nothing.
Who answers for it

Personal licence course is a free introduction service operated by Joseph Ellul (5 Dolce Vita Corte, Triq San Mikiel, San Gwann, SGN 2303, Malta). We pass your details to workplace safety training providers covering your area, who quote you directly; we may receive a fee from them, and you pay nothing and are under no obligation. We do not do the work ourselves. It carries no advertising, no sponsored placement and no affiliate links, and no provider in the table has paid to be there or can pay to be removed. Every figure is read from the named provider's own public page on the date shown and is what that provider advertises, not a quote for your job. Prices move; check the source before you rely on a row.
